If a 600 Volt lighting panelboard conformed to the notes in table 4 (maximum of 65kA short circuit current and maximum 0.03s), what would be the HRC for removing the bolted cover? |

For a 600V panel board, 65kA 3 phase bolted fault, 25mm gap, 18" working distance, solidly grounded, FCT=0.03sec, using IEEE 1584, I get 4.9cal/cm^2, with FPB of 3.6ft. |

Whats 'Table 4'? Do you mean Table 130.7C9. For 600V panelboards only Note 1 is cited 25KAIC@.03sec. For this condition you would need HRC1 according to the Table. |

This part of ArcFlashForum is about CSA Z462, a Canadian Standards Association standard which is pretty much a copy-tweak commas-paste of NFPA 70E. The numbering of sections and tables is changed, and yes, Table 130.7(C)(9) became Table 4. The technical content is supposed to be the same between both standards. |
