I’m in the process of planning a project that needs a comprehensive postal database covering as many countries as possible. What I’m after isn’t just the postal codes themselves, but also extra details like city names, regions, and ideally GPS coordinates to make location mapping more precise.

The challenge I’m facing is that different countries have very different formats, update schedules, and levels of accessibility for this data. Some are well-documented and public, others are fragmented or hard to track down.
