This may be software-specific, maybe not. I'm modeling a multi-sectional MDP wherein a main breaker feeds subsequent sections which are open (i.e. there is no internal arc barricade from one section to the next, so an arc blast in one section will easily travel into the adjacent sections).

How would you model this in software? I'm using EasyPower, but the solution may or may not be specific to EasyPower. Normally, the software treats a "bus feeding a breaker feeding another bus" scenario as independent compartments, which is not accurate to the situation. Feel free to ask any questions you need to help flesh this out.

Here are two photos illustrating what I'm talking about; one is the gear which is internally open, and the other shows the busing on the load side of the breaker passing into adjacent equipment.

Also note that there is no physical barricade between the line and load sides of the main breaker, and the opening between sections extends from the floor to the top of the cabinets.

Can you model as one bus since it's not sectionalized any way?

It's not sectionalized, but there is a main breaker with both line and load side busing.

Are you suggesting I model it as one bus only for the incident energy calculations? like creating a separate scenario specifically for the calorie calcs?

I am suggesting model as a single bus. In my opinion, line load side bus is irrelevant. Include your main/feeder breakers per field observations.
