The Arc Flash training videos are from Jim's live seminars on Arc Flash Hazard Analysis.
Arc Flash Video - Part 1 - $59.00
Part 1 introduces the concept of arc flash safety and covers what is required for compliance with the various arc flash standards when performing energized work.
You will learn how to conduct an Arc Flash Hazard Analysis and a Shock Hazard Analysis based on NFPA 70E Tables. See how to select PPE based on hazard risk tables defined in NFPA 70E and how to define a Flash Protection Boundary for up to 5,000 Amp-Seconds.
Arc Flash Video - Part 2 -$59.00
Part 2 shows you how to conduct a detailed arc flash study based on IEEE 1584a-2004 Standards. What is the difference between using NFPA's Hazard Risk Tables and IEEE's calculation methods?
As a member of the IEEE 1584 working group, Jim will show you what data is required to perform the detailed study. You will see how device settings have a greater impact on incident energy than the magnitude of short circuit current. What are the K factors? Learn what utility company data is necessary for the complete study as well as the effect that conductors, transformers and motors have on the incident energy.
ArcFlash Video - Part 3 - $59.00
Part 3 takes you through the final steps to perform detailed calculations based on the IEEE 1584a -2004 Standard.
You will learn how to perform calculations to determine the incident energy and flash protection boundaries based on IEEE 1584 methods. Learn how these calculations are used to develop detailed arc flash warning labels, select personal protective equipment (PPE) and how to define the gap distance and working distance. You will learn why ungrounded systems can yield greater incident energy than grounded systems and how to reduce the incident energy.
